Silk Press
Where Natural Hair Becomes Silky Straight
Frequently Asked Questions
Whats the difference between a flat iron & a silk press?
A flat iron is used to straighten and smooth hair, while a silk press is used to smooth and condition natural textured hair while adding a bit of shine. A silk press combines heat, moisture, and a special oil-based serum to help reduce frizz and damage. The result is a sleeker, shinier look.
How often will I have to come in?
To prevent damage and breakage, you'll need to come in every 3-6 weeks depending on your hair type.
How much will my silk press cost?
A silk press cost range is $80-$150. This service includes a minimum of: shampoo, condition, blow dry, and silkening the hair. The price varies by the length, thickness of the hair and the types of treatments added to the service.
This service will take approximately 1.5-3 hours.
Will a silk press ruin my hair?
Everyone's hair is different in strength and health. When using heat, there is always a chance for heat damage. I use heat protectants and treatments to protect hair during the straightening process.
